The Landon Kingsway Free Fall Fire Valve Set is the definitive UK standard for commercial and industrial boiler room fuel safety isolation. Engineered to isolate fuel oil lines immediately in the event of an outbreak of fire, the valve operates via a weighted drop mechanism released by an overhead fusible link wire system, providing fail-safe positive mechanical shut-off independent of mains electrical power.
Key Engineering Highlights:
- Fail-Safe Gravity Actuation: Uses a precision drop weight and quick-release catch mechanism, ensuring 100% fail-safe closure even during total power failure.
- Complete Boiler Plant Protection: Closes fuel supply lines feeding oil-fired boilers, diesel standby generators, and CHP engines to prevent fire escalation.
- Fusible Link Wire Loop: Triggered when ambient temperature exceeds fusible link ratings (standard 71°C, with options for 68°C, 93°C, and 141°C).
- Comprehensive Valve Sizing: Available in screwed BSP bodies (1/2" to 3") and flanged PN16 cast steel bodies (1" up to 3").
- Optional Position Switches: Can be fitted with auxiliary electrical microswitches to transmit valve open/closed status directly to the fire alarm panel or BMS.
